The best selling financial class is coming to Mount Pleasant Church beginning March 10, 2010.  Classes will begin promptly at 6:30pm each Wednesday.  The classes are being coordinated by Jack Orman.   Jack has taught this class several times at our church and is well liked by his students.  Cost of the class is $99 per family.  This is a lifetime membership.

Beginning in February, the congregation will be studying the book "One Month to Live" by authors Kerry and Chris Shook.  Along with commentary during the worship services; Sunday school classes and Life Groups will be doing more in depth study of the book.

Celebrate Recovery meetings are similar to those of other twelve-step programs, one difference is in their focus on Christianity. The program stresses that there is no other Higher Power except for Jesus, as opposed to groups like Alcoholics Anonymous which encourage members to choose their own concept of a Higher Power Another difference is that Celebrate Recovery does not require one to conform to a singleness of purpose declaration, a member does not have to qualify oneself as an alcoholic, addict, or gambler—there are no requirements for membership.
